A Thoughtful Transition (FAQs)

After a great deal of thought and many conversations with trusted friends in our community, I have decided to begin winding down production of Great Highland Bagpipe wood sets. In early January, we will announce a final order period, with orders accepted through the end of March.

This choice comes from honest places. After decades at the lathe, my hands feel every year of work. Suitable timber grows harder to source with confidence. Most importantly, the instrument deserves standards held without compromise.

Over thirty-two years, close to 2,500 instruments have passed through my hands. Each one represents time, trust, and a shared respect for music and tradition. I carry enormous gratitude for every player who placed faith in my work.

If you already have an instrument in progress, nothing changes. Your pipes will receive the same care, focus, and pride as always. My bench remains full for roughly two more years, and finishing well matters deeply to me.

This step feels less like an ending and more like stewardship. I want to leave this chapter with integrity, gratitude, and peace.

Thank you for walking alongside me all these years.

Warm regards,

Roddy
